In connection of running an illegal poker operation, Police has arrested a second man in this connection from an apartment complex on Northwest Side. The arrested person is said to be Santos Fabela and he charged with planned criminal activity. It is to be noted that on Tuesday, Jaime Flores was arrested on Tuesday and was charged with gambling organized crime.
As per the arrest affidavit, investigators said that the operation was being carried out in a ground floor unit of the Colonnade Apartments. The affidavit says that a maintenance worker was the first to caution the manager of the complex regarding it.
The manager then informed an off-duty police officer who also serves as the complex security guard. He told him that the maintenance worker found the apartment empty except for poker tables, chips and chairs. Police believes that the apartment was being used exclusively for gambling and that no one lived there. It was raided by detectives last month and they pulled down the poker parlor.
